The LA Sound Group is a collection of professionals who work in and are passionate about sound for picture. We meet with a respected person from the industry to hear about their practices, discuss ideas, answer questions and share their sound experience in the industry. Charles Maynes has been involved in the film sound business since 1994. He has been involved with 2 Academy Award Sound Editing Awards, "U-571" and "Letters From Iwo Jima" and won two Emmy awards for best sound editing for HBO's miniseries "The Pacific", and the History Channel's "Gettysburg" produced by Ridley and Tony Scott.
Jeff Wexler is an American production sound recordist. He has been nominated for two Academy Awards in the category Best Sound. He has worked on more than 70 films since 1972, won a BAFTA for Best Sound, and was nominated for an Emmy.
Steve Maslow is an American sound engineer. He won three Academy Awards for Best Sound and has been nominated for four more in the same category. He has worked on more than 200 films since 1978.
